I can’t believe it’s 2015! I hope you are all having a fab start to your new year!
Do you believe in New Year’s Resolutions?
I’m not sure I want to put that kind of tag to it. Maybe it’s too much pressure. LOL.

I pretty much say the same thing every year: I’m gonna quit cussing (I usually blow that one before the day even ends.) and I’m going to lose weight.

They’re my gold standards and I usually fail. Maybe not completely, but I don’t ever get to the point where I can “check them off the list.”

So, I think this year, I’ll be honest with myself. I probably won’t stop cussing. (Sometimes I have the mouth of a trucker or a sailor—guess poor truckers and poor sailors) and I won’t lose weight unless I apply myself.

Perhaps the smart thing to do would be just change these two things about myself without the pressure of the word resolution. I’ll give it a shot when I’m ready, I guess.
Or I could focus on what seems to mean more to me: writing books.

For 2014 I had a goal (no more scary word resolution here) of writing 8. I made it to 6, though I didn’t finish the 6th one before the year ended. I hope to have it done mid-January.
I also had 7 books release.

So for 2015, I want to match what I accomplished. I want to write, edit, release, repeat.
I don’t seem to have a problem with story idea shortages; I have more of a time issue. There’s never enough.

Since there’s no changing that, (unless I move to a different planet) I guess I’ll cope and work hard.

So, resolution or not, I’m gonna own 2015, just like I did 2014!

My Next Romance Novel is Gluten Free

Give me a juicy romance novel any day of the week. I just love putting myself in the heroine's shoes, even if I have to suffer all the trials and tribulations right along with her. Why? The hero's worth it. Their love for all time is worth it. So I'll become the heroine as I read and suffer all the hellish incidents, both emotional and physical, we authors put her through, knowing in the end, the girl WILL get the guy and they'll live happily ever after.

I enjoy finding out what each lead character's issues are as I read, too, so I can get swept up in their personal struggles and triumphs over adversity. Sometimes, they're messed up in the head- they were abused as a child and now they've got warped perspectives on life, or their parents died when they were young and they were bounced around foster homes, leaving them with attachment issues, or they have phobias developed in childhood that come out to haunt them as adults. Sometimes, they have to deal with physical challenges- they have a physical disability from a wartime injury, they were born deaf or blind or without a limb, they have a terminal disease.

Lately, I've been dealing with my own real-life issues that have greatly impacted my ability to sustain any kind of focus on the very activity that is my passion- writing romance novels. I can't even read them, as my mind is, shall we say is pre-occupied and scattered? I've been suffering from an as of yet diagnosed condition that has turned most food into my enemy. After some initial testing, I've had to eliminate what I'll call the TRIFECTA of the food world from my diet- all gluten, lactose and casein, soy, and refined sugars. Add to that list another 50 or so other foods, too.Yes, my concerned friends, I have an appointment with a specialist on January 19th. I can't wait!

It's been a great challenge, and has taken over my life in all aspects- the real world of living and working day to day, and my fiction world of writing romance. It's utterly impossible to be creative, to write even a sentence that I give a damn about. What does come out when I can think for a moment?Garbage. That's what comes out of me. I guess it's mirroring what's happening inside me. I'm removing the toxins from my body, and it's also leeching out of my brain!

THAT gave me an idea. Dear reader, please insert your tongue in cheek...

I'm gonna write a romantic suspense novel when I can think again, and the lead female character is going to be gluten, lactose/casein, soy, and sugar intolerant, but it will be a mystery issue. Her hero doctor is going to figure it out before it's too late and she withers away from lack of nutrition. He will introduce her to the world of gluten/dairy/soy free eating, and their romance, as well as her life, thrives. UNTIL ONE DAY... the villain shows up as the obsessed owner of an Italian restaurant she used to go to a couple times each week . He kidnaps and tortures her by making her eat pizza, stromboli, lasagna, fettucini alfredo, cannolies, and zeppolies. Will the hero doctor, be able to find her in time and save her from a painful death at the hands of a psychopath?

A New Year and New Resolutions

It's offically 2015!! We celebrated the same as we do every year. We all stayed home, hanging around in our pj's, drank white grape juice from our colored plastic champane flutes, watched the Dick Clark Rockin Eve from our warm living room, prayed for those poor frozen people's sanity, and watched the ball drop together. I know it sounds pretty boring but it's how I prefer to ring in the new year, surrounded by those I love.

I hope the year has kicked off with a bang for all of you! It's been pretty great for me. My new release, Scarlet Beginnings came out on the 6th of January and is already doing fantastic! I want to thank any of you who have already downloaded it! If you haven't downloaded it yet, what are you waiting for? Hehe.

I rarely do new years resolutions but this year I decided to give it a try. Why not, right? So here is my list of the things I want to do or accomplish in 2015. Please feel free to share yours as well.

1. Write more
2. Join the gym (at the end of the month)
3. Take more pictures of my kids
4. Help my little one start a scrap book to channel some of her creativity
5. Get boudoir photos done (once I've toned my tummy)
6. Focus more on my marriage

These seemed like "doable" resolutions so I'm determined to fulfill them. :)

I hope you all can fulfill your new years resolutions as well for those of you who made them. May 2015 bring you all happiness, success, love, and luck.

Love to you all!

“Get off me.”
She struggled, thrashing as much as she could but he knew just how to pin her. How to tease her with his scent, his rope, his voice. His hand rested on her hip and she clenched her jaw to keep from moaning.
“I want to talk to you.”
“Do you get the impression I give a rat’s ass what you want?”
He brushed his erection against her ass, trapping an extra length of rope between their bodies. She panted for all she was worth fighting to get away, fighting to get closer. Several layers of clothing still separated him from her but she could feel the burn of his skin against hers.
A flash of memory of the last time they were together scorched her mind. Him taking her, owning her just as he did every second. He buried his hard length inside her.
It was like that every time.
“Don’t remember asking for your input.”
She stopped struggling for a second, astounded he could be so cavalier with her feelings after the way he left things. She opened her mouth to tell him where he could go fuck himself and he shoved a ball-gag in her mouth.
“I hikjn yaoindl…” She thought to snap her fingers. Their non-verbal safe word. The same one they’d used for years. But she just…didn’t.
She stomped her foot while he buckled the gag behind her head. Yeah she probably resembled a two year old, but whatever.
She even wanted to say she was aiming for his foot but that would have been a lie.
Dawning possibilities exploded in her mind and she wasn’t going down so easily.
She moved her head forward as far as she could to get it into the corner the two walls made. She hoped he thought she just wanted away from the gag.
Fuck that.
Her head snapped back fast, catching him in the jaw, or cheek, or somewhere hard with the metal of the gag.
It dug into her scalp for a second but his “dammit” was worth any kind of pain she suffered at taking him by surprise.
A growl tore through him.
He spun her around and hauled her up and over his shoulder before she could utter a single squeak.
He held her thighs tight against him so she could do little more than wiggle.
The rest of the rope dangled from her wrists and he quickly wrapped it around her ankles, hog-tying her as if she were being hauled to slaughter.
She blissed out in his rope so fast she didn’t want to fight.
Her shoulders ached with the position of her arms and she wanted to hate the fact that she remembered how much she loved neck rope. It was dangerous and sexy and so decadently wicked she’d longed to feel like that again.
His cologne, the feel of his hand resting possessively on her ass, the way he tied her… Deft movements—even better and faster than they were years before—called to her, sucking her down the rabbit hole.
When he said he loved her.
She struggled again, unwilling to make it easy for him. He had years of hurt to make up for.
“We’ll be getting better acquainted.”
Jenna mumbled obscenities the whole time as he hauled her from the room. He whacked her ass and she loved it, pissing her off even more.
“I’m awake, right?” Chris asked the question behind Ian and Jenna would have laughed if she could have around the gag.
Ian lugged her up to her prep area, taking the stairs instead of the elevator. She hoped it was because he needed to burn off steam.
“Ahhhat.” He smacked her ass again and she swallowed another moan.
Ian let himself in. To her room.
Of course he knew the code.

Need a bit more on the kinky and naughty side before you sink your teeth into Jenna, Nick and Ian? I’ve gotcha covered!!
