Romance! Suspense! The Whole Package for Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to YOU, and Happy Release Day to me! Just a few days ago, Fated Desires Publishing released my latest romantic suspense story, Finding Lost. I'm usually writing paranormal romance with dark sinister supernatural creatures. THIS time, the creeper is very mortal and very deranged.

I thought I'd share some snippets with you, along with a synopsis so you get a good taste of what's inside. ENJOY!

SYNOPSIS:

How could anyone be miserable in paradise? Carrie Samuels could write a book about it. Far away from her family and friends, she’s fled to Isla Mujéres hoping to escape a relentless stalker who knew how to torment and leave no calling card. What started out as a short-term solution has turned into a long-term jail sentence on a tropical island.

Painfully handsome, with a killer smile and well-hewn body, Dillon McMahon left his past behind and plans to spend the rest of his life off the grid on Isla Mujéres, the perfect place to dig in. Living next door to a sexy, quirky, and mysterious woman makes it all the sweeter.

When Carrie and Dillon’s pasts collide with the present, it threatens their budding relationship and sends them into a maelstrom of danger, abduction, and attempted murder. Sometimes, no matter how far you run, you just can’t hide.

SNIPPETS:

1) In the fogged glass, a message had been left for her.
My bathing beauty, when the shower’s rain batters your body, imagine it to be my hands.
It had been written in neatly aligned capital letters.

2) “Excuse me, mind if I borrow some of that?”
Absently, she reached over to the sugar container and offered it, not even bothering with who had asked, or what he truly wanted. She just continued on in hysterics.

“I’m sorry, I meant can I borrow some of your laughter? It’s been a helluva day.”

3) “What are you doing here?”
“Well, that’s a loaded question. I’m trying to orchestrate a smooth move-in next door, but the fates seem to be against me. This whole venture has been a never-ending pain in the ass. I nearly threw in the towel. To be honest, I can’t wait to settle into my hammock with a cold brew and just forget about the world.”
“I see.” She offered the strangest look, a mixture of polite and wishing he’d go the hell away. “I, uh, meant what are you doing at my house?”

4) What better way to spend his retirement then to get drunk on the heady mix of a complicated woman?

5) Had she stayed a moment longer, she would’ve melted into a gooey mass of hormones right onto the sandy path.

6) He didn’t shush her. He didn’t try to stem her release. He simply held her and rocked her and stroked her hair while she came undone and slowly pulled herself back together.

7) “Dillon, sometimes dessert is best served first.”
She didn’t give him a chance to respond, but as she leaned in, a wicked smile spread across his face. She raked her hands through his curls and held fast to them with urgency, guiding his face closer to hers. She teased his lips with her tongue before turning insistent with a full-on assault, and he grabbed her ass to hoist her on top of his lap. As he did so, she straddled him and found a hard, ready man. Would she be enough for him? It’d been so long since she’d had any romantic involvement that sexual hunger drove her to behave like a teenager. Although not completely confident in her prowess, she pressed on.
